A normal folder. A readable report. No lock-in.

Your photos and videos live in an ordinary folder on your computer or external drive. The archive carries its own index, checksums, dated library lists, and offline report.

GoPro Yank never deletes cloud media. If you choose to delete the local archive, it removes only files it recorded and leaves unrelated files—and the folder itself—alone.

Does it delete anything from GoPro?

No. GoPro Yank never deletes cloud media.

How does it know a file is intact?

GoPro does not publish the camera’s original checksums. GoPro Yank records a SHA-256 checksum when each file enters your archive and checks against it afterward.

What happens if I stop it?

Completed files remain recorded and verified. Run GoPro Yank again and it continues with what remains.

Can it archive absolutely everything?

It archives every downloadable original it finds. GoPro MultiClipEdit timelines still require a manual export, and GoPro Yank calls those out clearly.
